Requiem in aeternam dona eis.

I received word this morning that a friend had taken his life. The news is terribly sad. I had not seen or spoken to this friend for quite a while but was aware of shocking changes in his life. He suffered very much and went to great lengths to find an answer to his anguish. We'll never know what made living further unendurable.

I am not a supplicant but I wish and hope for others that their lives are free of grief and despair; as if wishing alone could make it so. I don't understand, cannot understand but wish things could have been different or better, my wishes and hopes are prayer. So, to my friend, I pray for his serenity and an end to his suffering.
